Focusing on You

A rehabilitation consultation, or initial meeting, is the first step to initiating QRC services. The Qualified Rehabilitation Consultant, or QRC, will meet with the injured worker, reviewing the situation, and answering questions.   During this phase, a QRC will determine if an injured worker qualifies for statutory rehabilitation services. If deemed eligible, a rehabilitation plan is developed tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. The following services might be recommended:

• Medical Management

• Vocational Counseling and Guidance

• Coordination of Return to Work

• On-Site Job Analyses

• Retraining

• Labor Market Surveys & Transferable Skills Analyses

• Testimony

• Job Placement Services

As a QRC it is our goal to assist injured workers so they can resume work in a job that is physically appropriate at an earning capacity they enjoyed prior to injury.

You have the right to select your own QRC.  The QRCs at Tykeson Vocational Services are independent & not affiliated with any insurance agency. Services are provided at no cost to the injured worker. We bill your insurance company for you.

QRCs communicate with all parties in a workers’ compensation claim. We are in contact with doctors, employers, insurance adjusters, and attorneys if retained. We do this all while keeping the injured worker as our focus updating them along the way.
